Baymont by Wyndham Lawrence

The beds are INCREDIBLY comfy. This is the lowest cost for hotel in Lawrence and I honestly felt like we got one heck of a deal. Soft sheets, fluffy pillows, kind and friendly service from those working. Felt comfortable in needing to approach them with any question at any time (my friend literally called the front desk at 2am to ask about breakfast and they responded happily). We were very happy with our 1 night stay and complimentary breakfast. Great location for being right at the edge of the city but also still not even 10 minutes away from anything in town. Definitely recommend it!

Ted was extremely friendly and polite. The breakfast was very good and I liked the variety, especially the hot items like the sausage and waffles. The showers were very strong and I appreciated the adjustable head. The beds were a little uncomfortable and the lack of carpeting made the room echo a bit, but a rug or something would probably fix that. Overall, this was one of my best hotel experiences.

Check-in clerk, Doris, was very friendly and helpful. She went way above her duties to help in a mixup booking. Every motel needs a Doris!!!!!

I had a good weekend stay here for the K-state game. The check-in was quick and the guy at the desk is friendly and helped out with some recommendations to go eat. The rooms were good for the purpose, they were clean and that is all that matters to me. Having a family makes going out for breakfast a little expensive but the free breakfast was good enough to fill everyone up. My kids like the eggs. We did not get a chance to use the pool that might be a next time thing. It was pricy for the weekend but I found it a lot better than the 4 to 5 hundred everyone else wanted. It is also really close to the campus. It was probably a 20 minute walk.

As soon as I walked in. I was greeted with a positive smile by Doris. She provided an amazing customer service. To managers of Baymont! Doris deserves a raise. She is an amazing employee in your company. Ill come back here just to feel the warm welcome by Doris.

I have never received more personable service than what I received in the four days that I stayed at this hotel. Every request was met and the manager/ owner went above and beyond to make sure our stay was enjoyable to providing extra coffee, a list of suggested restaurants in the area, along with things to do, always made sure we had extra towels, and we were greeted with a smile every time we entered the lobby. The staff went above and beyond to make sure that our stay was enjoyable and memorable.

The hotel was pretty decent for the money. The pros were; The Tv's had netflix and youtube on them. I asked the front desk and you can log in and clear your log in details when you checkout so that was nice to have. Close to KU, we drove and it took us no time to get to campus from 9th street. Beds were comfy and this is the first hotel in a while that I have seen that does daily housekeeping still. It had a microwave and fridge in the room which was handy, started to see that some hotels dont have them anymore. The parts that were mediocre; The breakfast was alright and nothing too fancy, it had waffles, scrambled eggs, and sausage and the other stuff, the one thing I did like was their on demand coffee machine in the breakfast room seems to be better than most. The Pool and Fitness room are adequete, the pool was warm but the fitness room is a little small, it did have free weights and a treadmill. The cons; Some parts of the hotel did appear to be dingy and could be upgraded; nothing major just scuffs. Apparently it has new ownership and they are in the process of renovating so that is good to hear. Overall I would say it is worth it for a budget option in lawrence that aint a motel. Ill be back

For a hotel in its price range its a very good deal. Linens done every day, basic cleaning was immaculate but things like the windows were dirty and dust on some surfaces, nothing major. My major complaint is the wifi logs you off after several hours and you have to log back in, it's ruined a couple good games I had going and is just an unnecessary hassle
